Jordan North wins TRIC’s Best Radio Presenter award 2025

Jordan North has won Best Radio Presenter at the 2025 Television and Radio Industries Club Awards, announced yesterday, Tuesday 24 June.
The Capital Breakfast host, who presents the show alongside Chris Stark and Sian Welby, accepted the award via video while on holiday following Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley earlier this month.
“I am made up. I am chuffed to bits,” Jordan said in his message. “I’ve been doing this since I was 16 and I’ve never won a radio award in my career, so thank you.
“It really does mean a lot. Especially considering the nominees as well. Simon Mayo, the guy is radio. Ally McCoist, you cannae beat a bit of AC/DC. And Vernon Kay, yeah whatever. No love you Vernon, can’t wait to see you soon. I’m chuffed to bits, I’m made up!”

In the Best Radio Show category, Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden took home the trophy.
The Global show recently celebrated a record-breaking 4.3 million weekly listeners, making it the most popular commercial breakfast show in the UK, according to the latest RAJAR figures.
Reacting to the win live on Heart Breakfast this morning, Jamie joked: “That’s going into our rather drafty awards cabinet here at Heart towers!”
The TRIC Awards celebrate talent and content across television, radio, and online, with winners voted for by a combination of industry figures and the public.
