Jordan North admits he caused Saturday Night Takeaway rehearsals to stop

Jordan North revealed on his Capital Breakfast show this morning that it was his fault they had to stop rehearsals for the final episode of Saturday Night Takeaway.

The ITV programme aired for the last time on Saturday but rehearsals for it were halted for one day because Ant McPartlin was left in hysterics over Jordan’s bad singing and dancing.

Jordan also revealed that they also had to bring in the Strictly Come Dancing choreographer for him to learn how to clap in time!

“I made the boys promise me that I didn’t have to sing…they did. I had to the sing at the end of the show, show,” he told co-hosts Sian and Chris. “I just thought, I’ll just cake the northern-ness and go more Northern!”

Admitting he was nervous and can’t sing, Jordan explained: “So in rehearsal right on Friday, Ant couldn’t stop, we had to stop one of the rehearsals because Ant couldn’t stop laughing, he even said to a girl “he can’t even clap in time!” I had to get some choreographer who usually works on Strictly, to stop the rehearsal to show me how to clap in time.”

He added: “Everyone was clapping, and I was on beat behind them, honestly. I have no rhythm at all.”
