Gaby Roslin covers for Vernon Kay as he misses BBC Radio 2 show today

Veron Kay had to miss presenting his BBC Radio 2 morning show today, so Gaby Roslin covered the slot for him.

The absence follows Zoe Ball’s return to the Breakfast show yesterday after an extended break of more than six weeks.

Vernon’s reason for taking time off is because of a sore throat. Posting on social media, he said that he’s under doctor’s orders to rest his voice.

He added that he’s resting his vocal cords because they’re a bit strained and making him very hoarse. Although he’s sliding away from the microphone today, he says he thinks he should be ok to return to the show tomorrow.

Speaking on Vernon’s show earlier, Gaby said: “Vernon, I hope your throat is feeling better. I was listening yesterday; I love the show but did worry about your throat.

“So take it easy, no talking today!”
