DJ AG says he is confident he’ll one day perform alongside Drake on the streets after joining the rapper on stage at Wireless Festival.
Speaking to Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie, DJ AG reflected on the surprise moment, revealing he only found out about the appearance around an hour before going on stage.
He explained: “I was performing there for the whole duration, and literally, like an hour before on the last day, I got a call saying, ‘Yeah, Drake wants to make a moment with you, let’s get you on the stage and let’s try and catch a vibe.'”
DJ AG admitted he was shocked that the global superstar even knew who he was.
Looking ahead, he said his ambition is to bring Drake to one of his famous street performances.
“I’m hoping we can get Drake on the streets one day. That’s my goal. I think it will happen.”
When presenter Shayna Marie replied, “I think it can happen,” DJ AG responded confidently: “It will happen!”
