Lewis Capaldi reveals on Capital Bieber snub and Calvin Harris song truth

Lewis Capaldi has opened up about three big moments in his life during his first UK radio interview in over two years on Capital Breakfast with Chris Stark.
The discussion revealed a Justin Bieber snub, an unreleased Calvin Harris track, and the gig that got him singing again.
Speaking from the Devonshire Pub, where he performed a secret set, Capaldi credited Ed Sheeran for encouraging him to get back on stage after a long break.
“The first night I sang here was with [Ed] Sheeran… credit to him for getting me up and singing again,” he said.
The singer also told the full story of meeting Justin Bieber at a Hollywood party. After a great evening chatting, Bieber asked for his number but never replied to Capaldi’s follow-up message. “He likes it and doesn’t reply to me… Bieber aired me,” Capaldi laughed.
Capaldi then addressed the long-rumoured collaboration with Calvin Harris, revealing why it has never been released.
“This is the thing, I don’t like the song. I don’t like my version of the song,” he admitted, adding that he never told Harris directly. “To this day I haven’t replied to him… I’d love to do a Calvin Harris song, but he has to sing on it as well.”
