Mark and Lard reunite for live shows two decades after Radio show ended
Mark Radcliffe and Marc Riley are getting back together again for a live show 20 years after their much-loved Radio 1 show ended.
The pair came together as joint hosts on BBC Radio 1 in the early 90s and their last show together on the station was in 2004.
Appearing as guests on the Craig Charles BBC Radio 6 Music afternoon show on Thursday, they announced the event.
Carry On: An Evening with Mark and Lard will take place online on 24 March from 7pm via Live to Your Living Room. Mark Radcliffe has posted on X that the show has sold out but a matinee show has been added.
Mark and Lard became full-time at Radio 1 in 1993 where they hosted the late-night weekday show. In 1997 they moved to the Breakfast Show which lasted for only eight months, making it the shortest of any Radio 1 Breakfast Shows.
They went on to co-host the early afternoon show on the station, which was hugely successful and continued until March 2004.
On 24th March 2004, the much-loved Mark and Lard show on BBC Radio 1 came to an end. Now, 20 years later, Mark Radcliffe and Mark Riley are joining forces once again, and of course, we just had to be part of it.
