Cher to join Vernon Kay for Tracks of My Years special on Radio 2

Cher will be on Vernon Kay’s BBC Radio 2 show next week for Tracks of My Years, picking some of her favourite songs each day.

The iconic singer will be talking about her six-decade career as well as picking a few of her favourite Christmas songs.

With sales of over 100m records, she has picked up many awards including a Grammy, an Emmy and an Oscar.

As a Grammy Award-winning recording artist, top-grossing live performer and Emmy-winning TV star, Cher has enjoyed a singing career with hits in every decade from the 1960s to the 2010s. She won an Academy Award for Best Actress for Moonstruck, hit the number one spot around the world with Believe in 1999, and won plaudits for critically acclaimed performances on the Broadway stage.

At 77 years of age, Cher continues to be at the forefront of the industry. She recently released her first festive album, Christmas. It’s her first new studio album in five years, and includes several holiday classics and four originals, with a star-studded list of guests including Darlene Love, Stevie Wonder, Michael Bublé and Cyndi Lauper.

During her week on Vernon’s show, you’ll hear stories behind some of her own tracks, as well as festive songs by Judy Garland, John Lennon, Mariah Carey and Sia.
