Katie Price reveals Gareth Gates documentary shock on Hits Radio

Katie Price says discovering the truth about her relationship with Gareth Gates was the biggest surprise while making her new documentary, Nothing to Hide.

Appearing on Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr, Katie discussed the new Sky documentary and admitted she was shocked to finally learn why Gareth Gates had suddenly cut contact with her more than two decades ago.

She also revealed she’d happily see daughter Princess take part in Love Island, joked she’d sign up herself if she wasn’t married, and admitted which politician she’d be open to having dinner with.

Asked whether anything in the documentary had surprised her, Katie immediately pointed to Gareth Gates.

“Imagine you was with someone twenty-five years ago and then suddenly they ghost you and you don’t really know why. And now I know why,” she said.

She explained that Gareth had mistakenly believed she had arranged something behind his back, before eventually discovering that wasn’t the case.

“People in his head and he thought I’d set something up when I actually hadn’t. Then twenty-five years later he finds out it was nothing to do with me and you see his reaction.”

Katie couldn’t resist teasing her former boyfriend, adding: “Put it this way, if I was his girlfriend watching what he said I wouldn’t be happy. Am I right or wrong? And he still looks fit I must say…”

The conversation also turned to reality TV, where Katie revealed she’d be more than happy for her daughter Princess to enter the Love Island villa if she wanted to.

Katie even admitted she’d be tempted to take part in the ITV dating show herself if she wasn’t married, before also surprising the Breakfast team by saying she’d be willing to sit down for dinner with Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
