Sir Cliff Richard to feature in BBC Radio 2 special programme
The Multi-award-winning performer and national treasure will be in conversation with Sara Cox.
Recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, Sir Cliff will talk about his 64-year career. More than 130 of his singles, albums and EP’s reached the UK Top 20, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Sara will be playing many of his hits and talk to him about his career of live performances, on the big and small screen, and being in so many record collections.
While celebrating his 80th birthday in 2020, the Official Charts Company confirmed Sir Cliff had set a new all-time record by becoming the first artist ever to score a Top 5 album in each of eight consecutive decades.
The Radio 2 special will include material not broadcast in the accompanying Cliff At Christmas special for BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Cliff Richard Meets Sara Cox is on BBC Radio 2, Wednesday 21 December 9-10pm.
The programme will be available on BBC Sounds from 1 December.
