Antoni Porowski shocked on Capital hearing spotted dick is real dessert

Last night, Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski joined The Capital Evening Show and was left mortified to learn spotted dick is a real traditional British steamed pudding.
As a guest of show host, Jimmy Hill, Antoni was taking part in a food tasting exercise to guess what the dishes were.
Handing him the mystery dish, Jimmy said: “This is your fourth and final dish, again it looks absolutely revolting. No gravy no custard. Typically, that should have custard on it.”
Antoni responded: “It looks like a chocolate chip muffin, but I thought these were little dried blueberries.”
Jimmy told him that they were raisins and asked how it tasted?
“Okay it tastes like one of those bran muffins that you try and get when you’re healthy, it’s all kind of a ruse because a muffin is a muffin,” Antoni told him. “I don’t hate this. And why is the one thing that’s warm, when you’re literally serving me meat that is dead ass cold, what is happening. You did a temp check on this but nothing else!”
Jimmy then asked whether it was spotted dick or witches crumpet, to which, a shocked Antoni asked: “Did you say spotted dicks?”
He couldn’t believe a pudding would be called that, so answered that it must be witches crumpet.
When told he was wrong, Antoni asked: “You have something in your culture that sounds like some weird STI?”
Jimmy showed him a packet of spotted dick from M&S to prove it’s a real thing and Antoni admitted he’d never heard of it and added: “That sounds like a sexual transmitted infection! Do you guys make fun of it? Are you aware?”
Jimmy told him that we just think of it as a pudding, causing Antoni to respond: “That’s so funny, you’ve heard it here first, a spotted dick is delicious!!”
