Kemi Rodgers reveals Danny Jones favourite to win I’m a Celebrity
I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked host Kemi Rodgers joined Capital Breakfast live from Australia this morning to chat about the new series of I’m A Celeb.
Kemi, who also hosts Capital mid-mornings, shared behind-the-scenes gossip and revealed that Ant and Dec have already tipped Danny Jones as the favourite to win this year’s jungle crown.
When Sian Welby asked if there are any early favourites yet, Kemi replied: “We asked Ant and Dec this the other night, and I think they agree with me.
“Actually, one thing I will say, is that they love all the cast like they think it’s such a good year and I think I agree with them. I think everyone’s super positive and lovely.
“My favourite, who they were like, ‘yeah, we see it’ is Danny. I just think he is going to do really well, he did so well in that challenge. Did you see the snake of his trousers?”
Jordan chipped in: “Yeah, he literally had a trouser snake yesterday. It was mental it brought me flashbacks as well because I did a similar trial for you. I can’t believe it, it was horrific that.”
Kemi explained that Danny is chilled out and up for it, so she thinks he’ll be the one who wins the most stars, staying happy even when everyone’s really hungry and miserable. That’s why she thinks he’s an early favourite.
Chris Stark asked if the reason Kemi said this was because she had posters of Danny when she was growing up?
Admitting she did, Kemi replied: “This is gonna sound awful, but there were loads of different McFly posters I had on the wall. And there was one where they were all like butt naked, but they just had their guitars over their nether regions. And now when I think of that, I’m like, that’s such a weird thought!”
She also said that even though she was a big fan of both McFly and Busted when she was 13 years old, she thinks Danny is a real good egg and it’s good that he’s actually nice.
As the chat with Kemi was coming to an end, Jordan then added another revelation, saying: “Apparently Kemi changed her name to Kemi Jones on Facebook as well because she fancied him that much!”
Turns out that’s true as well!
