Will Young reveals strange coincidence on Magic Breakfast

Singer Will Young was a co-host with Harriet Scott on the Magic Radio Breakfast Show this week and exclusively revealed that he has a very unexpected new neighbour!

He explained that he’d recently moved to the countryside and love’s it – as do his dogs, so everyone’s happy.

“I haven’t been there very long in this new place,” he told Harriet. “It’s not a big town and I get the train down from London.”

One time when he arrived there, he got into a cab and that’s how he found out who else lives in the town when the cabbie asked if he was going to Gareth Gates’ house.

“Gareth Gates lives in the same town I’ve just moved to,” he said. “What are the chances that the two people in the final of Pop Idol – 23 years on – end up living in the same town!

“I think we’re going to turn up at the local talent show and I’m going to take him on again and I’m going to win – absolutely!!”

He continued: “I haven’t messaged him yet because I’ve been rushing around but he’ll know now. And I’m trying to find out where his house is.”

Will is joining Harriet again next week to co-host Magic Radio Breakfast and will have an update on whether he’s not only managed to track down his fellow Pop Idol finalist but if he really has challenged him to that local singing contest!
