Nothing but festive hits as Magic Radio goes 100% Christmas

Magic Radio is getting listeners into the festive spirit by playing 100% Christmas hits until 26 December.

Breakfast hosts Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott joined Lorraine live from the Magic studio, which is currently dressed as a festive ski lodge, and said: “We have more than 600 hours of Christmas songs planned between now and Boxing Day.

“It’s a brave thing to do, it’s our main station and we’re going 100% Christmas… come in on the journey you’re going to love it.”

The launch follows on from the station’s Magic of Christmas event at the London Palladium over the weekend, with performances from the likes of Emeli Sandé, Simply Red, Rick Astley and more as well as a special rendition of ‘Fairytale of New York’ from Ronan Keating and Lucie Jones.

As part of its festive celebrations, Magic Radio is also once again supporting Mission Christmas, the largest Christmas gift appeal in the UK run by charity Cash for Kids.

Ronan Keating added: “Mission Christmas does such incredible work every year and, with the cost of living still impacting on so many, I know that the team want to help out Santa this year more than ever.

“If you can help in any way, either by donating a gift or cash, you could make a world of difference to a child somewhere in the UK this Christmas Day.”
