Ronan Keating to step down from Magic Radio Breakfast

After almost seven years hosting Magic Breakfast, Ronan Keating has decided it’s time to step down from the show.

He announced the news on the show this morning, saying he’s wants to get back to concentrating on his music. He’s about to embark on a tour playing a range of dates across the UK and Germany.

Ronan said: “It’s been very difficult to come to this decision. I have loved every single minute and this has not been an easy decision at all.

“It was an honour to be in people’s homes, but I’ve missed doing the school run and waking up with my wife in the morning!”

His last show will be on 31 July and he’ll remain a friend of the station.

Ronan joined the station in September 2017 to host the breakfast show with co-host Harriet Scott, who he described as a radio legend. She will remain on the show and a new co-host will be announced in the coming weeks.
