Angellica Bell joins Hits Radio to cover Fleur East’s maternity leave

Fleur East’s last day on Hits Radio Breakfast before she becomes a mum will be this Friday, so Angellica Bell will cover for her while she takes a break.

Broadcaster and TV presenter Angellica will continue to host her Saturday morning show on Magic Radio alongside her new role at Hits Radio.

Speaking on air just after 8am, Fleur said: “I can’t believe it’s my last week, it’s honestly flown by. But I am ready to get in the zone now, I need to get home, I need to start nesting and I need to try and sleep whilst I have any time left!

“The thought of taking a break is a little bit weird, but I am so pleased to say that one of my good friends, Angellica Bell, is going to be the one looking after things for me.”

Angellica later joined Fleur, and her new co-hosts James and Matt to reveal that it was Fleur who had asked her to join the station. She said: “I was so honoured when you called and asked me to cover, I just thought ‘yeah, I’m going to do justice for your job, be here and then when you’re ready you come back.

“I am so excited for you, and you are going to be an amazing Mum but now we just want you to take some time out and chill out!”
