Zara McDermott pranks boyfriend Sam Thompson’s birthday
Sam Thompson got a surprise as he celebrated his birthday while on-air at Hits Radio last night.
His girlfriend Zara McDermott had arranged for a couple of on-air surprises for him on his special day, which caught him out.
First, was a chat with listener ‘Sarah’ who had messaged in to say happy birthday as Sam’s biggest fan and then got to speak to Sam live where she revealed that they shared a lot in common – including being a cat parent.
As Sam started to arrange a cat date with his super fan, ‘Sarah’ revealed that it was actually Zara who called him out as an ‘idiot’ for falling for the fan love!!
Sam described it as ‘the best prank’ that Zara had ever done on him and for Zara it meant finally getting her revenge after suffering a series of stunts from her boyfriend that have included pretending to have waxed all her eyebrows off leaving her in tears.
Currently away filming for her latest documentary series, former Love Islander Zara made up for the prank call AND missing Sam’s birthday by sending his present – a Le Creuset pan – to the studio.
She also sent a birthday cake which was topped by figures of herself and Sam and a picture of the third person in their relationship – TOWIE’s Pete Wicks, a co-presenter with Sam on the Staying Relevant podcast.
