Did Sam Thompson reveal his girlfriend Zara’s first Strictly dance?

On his Hits Radio show last night, Sam Thompson may have revealed what his girlfriend Zara’s first dance in Strictly Come Dancing is going to be.

Broadcaster and content creator, Zara McDermott was the seventh celebrity contestant to be announced for the BBC TV show.

Sam revealed on air: “I’ve been dancing a lot in my household – the prep is real at our gaff. I genuinely think I’ve waltzed around the kitchen with Zara about 50 times right now and I don’t even know how to waltz!”

That definitely sounded like a bit of a giveaway, or perhaps a slip up!

Sam also shared how excited he is for his girlfriend to feature on the reality show: “The fever is growing, all systems go,” he said. I’m so excited to watch her, I’m going to start making my banners, I can’t wait.

“Although she only gets two tickets to go to the live shows and she’s already told me that she wants her parents to go to the majority of them, so I’ll guess I’ll be standing outside. But I don’t care I will be there,” he added.

It’s not long now until Zara steps out on to the dancefloor with her Strictly pro. Last week Hits Radio colleague and former Strictly finalist Fleur East, invited Sam to have a chat about the pros and asked him who would be his choice. For some reason Johannes Radebe came out top of the pros but when pushed as to why he was Sam’s favourite, he was adamant that it was because he’s a ‘good dancer!’
