Weekend host Andrew Collins to leave Classic FM after seven years

Host of Classic FM’s Saturday night at the Movies programme, Andrew Collins is leaving the station this weekend.

Making the announcement on Twitter, Collins Said: After 7 years of presenting Saturday Night at the Movies on Classic FM and sharing the best movie music with you, tomorrow’s show will be my last one.

“Thank you to all our listeners who’ve helped to make the show such a joy to work on.”

The reason for the sudden departure isn’t known but a Global spokesperson said: “Andrew Collins will host his last programme on Classic FM tomorrow. We thank him for presenting Saturday Night at the Movies for the past seven years and we wish him all the best for the future.”

There’s no news yet, who will replace Andrew.
