Diversity star Perri Kiely is late to KISS Breakfast Show and his secret nickname is revealed

Diversity star and KISS Breakfast host Perri Kiely had a late start to his morning today (Tuesday 8 March).

Speaking on the show, his co-host and Diversity dance mate Jordan Banjo shared: “We usually meet at the Diversity dance studio (to travel to work together), essentially this morning I’m sat at the back of this taxi and I’m like, ‘that’s weird Perri is never normally late’. Couple more minutes go by… few more minutes go by. I’ve rang him about 10 times… it’s time to crack out the big guns. I’m gonna have to ring his girlfriend. Bearing in mind this is like 5 in the morning!

“His girlfriend Laura, bless her, answers the phone like this is a general call ‘oh hello Jord’ how are you, are you ok?’ I was like ‘er yes Laura’… and as I went to talk, all I heard was ‘oh my god the time! Squish, squiiiiish!’ Squish is what she calls Perri! I’ve never heard someone scrabble so much. He went ‘oh my god!’ I literally heard him fall out the bed, ruffle up the duvet and run out.”

Finally, when Perri got in, Jordan revealed that he had decided to scrap Perri’s regular ‘Fun News’ feature and instead get listeners to call in and absolutely rinse him for being so late.
