Roman Kemp and Capital Breakfast team take break after death of close friend

Roman Kemp and his Capital Breakfast co-hosts, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay are taking a break for the rest of the week after hearing about the sudden death of a friend they have worked with.

They left their show early on Tuesday after hearing the sad news about their close friend.

A source told The Sun: “Roman and his colleagues are in complete shock, they can’t believe someone they were all close to is gone.

“They’ve all been left completely shattered by the upsetting news and are taking some time to grieve and digest the tragedy.

“It’s a tough time for them all right now.”

Listeners noticed the show had suddenly ended on Tuesday after Roman had interviewed Little Mix.

A spokesperson from Capital confirmed that Rob Howard and Lauren Layfield will host Capital Breakfast for the rest of this week.
