Nigel Farage departs LBC with immediate effect

British politician and radio host Nigel Farage has left LBC with immediate effect, the station has announced.

He’s been presenting his own daily show for the last three years after joining the station in 2014 to take calls during Nick Ferrari’s breakfast show in a segment called Phone Farage.

An LBC spokesperson said: “Nigel Farage’s contract with LBC is up very shortly and, following discussions with him, Nigel is stepping down from LBC with immediate effect.

“We thank Nigel for the enormous contribution he has made to LBC and wish him well.”

There’s no word yet on why Mr Farage has stepped down and so far, he hasn’t issued a statement regarding it.
