Paul Robinson is to host a new show on East London Radio – the online station which he’s Chair of.
“Paul takes on the challenge of interviewing local people who are making a difference in East London at a grassroots level and manages to tell their story in his intimate and personable style,” the station told RadioToday.
The former Managing Editor of Radio 1, Head of Strategy BBC Radio and CEO of Talk Radio is hoping to ‘get East London Talking’ with speech based content and niche music not heard anywhere else.
The remaining episodes will air from 3rd April at 3pm and every Sunday thereafter.
The programme, called Private Lives, will get its premier tonight as the station broadcasts live from the Radio:V&A at the Victoria and Albert museum tonight.
Tonight, broadcasters, DJs, producers and radio art activists are at the museum investigating and discussing the history and culture of radio – from a vital mode of communication to a bite size podcast, they’ll be looking at the medium through oral histories, radical programming and sonic installations.
East London Radio will be in The Dorothy and Michael Hintze Galleries of the Victoria and Albert from 1830 and on their radio stream.
