Bohemian Rhapsody still number one for Greatest Hits Radio listeners
Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody has once again been voted the greatest hit of the 70s, 80s and 90s by Greatest Hits Radio.
This marks the seventh consecutive year the iconic track has claimed the top spot, with more than 21,000 votes cast in this year’s countdown.
The Number One was announced by Simon Mayo on his Drivetime show this afternoon.
Brian May thanked fans for their support, saying: “Thank you for voting Bohemian Rhapsody number one in your 500 top songs. It’s not the first time it’s happened, but we will never take this for granted.”
Roger Taylor added: “We are continually amazed and delighted that people still love our song. We feel honoured and thrilled, so thank you to anyone who voted it number one.”
