The Pussycat Dolls excited to tour at “this age” they tell Heart

The Pussycat Dolls have announced a reunion world tour and brand-new single during an appearance on Heart Breakfast.

They say they’re excited to tour at “this age” to “celebrate their bodies” and bring back the latex!

Group members Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt joined Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden this morning on Heart to reveal details of the upcoming Forever tour.

The interview also featured the world exclusive first play of their new track Club Song.

Speaking about returning to the stage together, the trio said the tour comes 20 years after the group’s debut album and will celebrate the experience they have gained since then.

Ashley Roberts said she is excited to bring back the group’s iconic stage style. “I’m excited to get the outfits back on and do our thing. Celebrate these bodies,” she said, prompting laughter from the studio as Amanda Holden joked about the group’s famous latex costumes.

Nicole Scherzinger explained that a reunion had originally been planned before being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We were going to have a reunion when rona happened,” she said. “But after I dedicated my every waking breath to theatre over the past three years, I realised I missed my girls and I missed touring.”

The new tour has been named Forever, a title Nicole said reflects the group’s lasting bond. “PCD baby is not a phase. It is forever,” she added.

The group also premiered their new single Club Song during the show, describing it as a “hot girl anthem” about independence and enjoying a night out with friends.

“It’s really fun,” Nicole said. “It’s about independence and going to the club. We literally say leave your boyfriend at home because we need a girls’ night.”

Fans can also expect some updates to the group’s famous dance routines when the tour begins.

Ashley Roberts said the performances will include nods to the original choreography alongside new twists, adding that getting back on stage and reconnecting with fans will be one of the most exciting parts of the reunion.
