Jordan North reunited with dog he rescued from River Thames

Capital Breakfast’s Jordan North had an emotional moment this morning as he was reunited with the dog he rescued from the River Thames over six months ago.
Back in December last year, Jordan jumped into the water to save Creed, a puppy who had leapt into the river while out walking with his owner, Rodas, and her mum near Chiswick. At the time, Jordan was rescued himself by the Chiswick RNLI after going in to save the struggling dog.
During today’s show with Chris Stark and Sian Welby, Jordan was surprised when Creed and his owner arrived at the studio.
Seeing Creed again for the first time since the dramatic rescue, Jordan said: “Oh my god! No way! That’s Creed! I’m going to cry!”
Rodas explained how Creed had jumped in after seeing a duck, saying: “I was about to jump in myself but people were telling me about the currents and the waters… I’m so so thankful, it was really a selfless act.”
Jordan recalled the dangerous situation clearly, explaining: “When I climbed down the current was taking him, you could tell he was struggling… I tried to grab him, and he fell back in, I was like ‘oh no!’”
Rodas shared how she didn’t know who Jordan was at the time and only found out later after friends saw news articles about the rescue. She added: “It’s lovely seeing you and meeting you officially.”
The reunion ended with Jordan calling Creed “the most beautiful dog” and admitting he had thought about the puppy ever since the rescue, even mentioning it on the show and in interviews to try to find out how Creed was doing.
