Joe Wicks reacts to Hits Radio Breakfast’s sound bath prank
Joe Wicks was left stunned this morning when Hits Radio Breakfast treated him to a sound bath featuring his infamous live YouTube fart.
Speaking to Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr, the nation’s PE teacher was expecting a relaxing experience. Instead, he heard the echoing sound of his accidental lockdown fart, which has become a viral thing over the past few years.
Joe reacted instantly, laughing and saying: “Firstly that is bang out of order because you’ve done an echo on it so you’ve made it sound like I did two. But I know that sound because that is my infamous fart on YouTube which is haunting me! I thought it was going to blow over!”
Reflecting on the incident, he added: “Of all the things I’ve done in lockdown, the PE with Joe was great, but what people needed more than anything was to laugh.”
Joe became a household name during lockdown with his daily PE With Joe workouts on YouTube, which helped children and families stay active while schools were closed.
The workouts drew millions of views and earned him widespread praise for supporting the nation’s health and morale during that period.
However, it was one unexpected moment in particular that made headlines: when Joe accidentally let out a loud fart while live streaming, sparking thousands of comments and memes.
