Alex Warren admits sending Lewis Capaldi toilet selfie in Capital chat

Singer-songwriter Alex Warren has shared some of his most bizarre celebrity encounters during a sightseeing interview on an Uber boat with Capital Breakfast’s Jordan North.

The Ordinary singer, who recently went viral with his emotional ballad, told Jordan that he has always been an unashamed fan of big-name artists and often sends them “stupid” direct messages.

In one of the most unexpected moments of the chat, Alex revealed he once sent Lewis Capaldi a photo of himself on the toilet!

“I bet all of these artists, if they checked their DMs, I’ve DM’d them something really stupid,” he said. “Oh my god, for sure. And I don’t delete them. I let them live. I DM’d Lewis Capaldi a photo of me taking a poo!”

Jordan North replied: “He would love that by the way.” Alex laughed and confirmed: “And he did love that, and that was something really interesting where I was like, I forgot I sent that.”

Jordan then checked: “Let’s get this right, you sent a DM to Lewis Capaldi, a photo of you taking a poo. I respect that.” Alex simply smiled: “Yeah!”

The sightseeing trip also produced another funny moment when Alex mistook one of London’s most famous cultural venues for a prison.

As the boat passed the Southbank Centre, Alex asked: “Is that a prison?” Jordan corrected him, saying: “No that’s a theatre.” Alex quickly replied: “Oh okay…”

During the ride, Jordan pointed out landmarks such as the London Eye and the Shard, with Alex confirming he had been on the Eye but remained unsure about many other buildings along the Thames.

The Capital Breakfast interview showed a more playful side to Alex Warren, who has performed his hit song Ordinary alongside Ed Sheeran and recently had it sung to him by Lana Del Rey. “It’s crazy to think people know who I am now,” he said. “I’m such a fan of everyone and I don’t hide it.”
