Capital wants Swifties to vote for their favourite Taylor Swift songs

Capital is compiling the Official Swift Top 40 and is calling on Taylor Swift fans to vote for their favourite of her songs.

In celebration of what has been a good year for the star – which has seen her release an 11th studio album to critical acclaim, embark on the highly anticipated Eras World Tour, and be named Time Magazine’s ‘Person of the Year’ – Capital is now giving Swifties the chance to rank their favourite Taylor Swift songs in the special chart.

Last month Capital launched Capital (Taylor’s Version), a pop-up radio station dedicated to playing nothing but Taylor Swift, available on Global Player. It’s the first time in the UK that a national DAB radio station has been dedicated to a single artist.

Once the votes have been totted up, Capital (Taylor’s Version) will unveil the Official Swift Top 40… as voted for by you this summer in a special show hosted by Will Manning.

On the announcement, Will Manning said: “Taylormania has been in full swing this year, and we know all too well that this is no mean feat.

“With the launch of the amazing Capital (Taylor’s Version) this summer, we gave Swifties exactly what they wanted – wall-to-wall Taylor Swift tracks from her extensive catalogue played out non-stop on the airwaves.

“Now, it’s only right that we give listeners the chance to pick their favourite tracks as well. Choose wisely!”

Voting has opened today, Monday 8 July, via Global Player and closes at midnight on Wednesday 31 July.

The Official Swift Top 40 from Global will be unveiled on Capital (Taylor’s Version) by Will Manning on Friday 9 August, from 4pm-7pm, also available on Global Player.
