Hits Radio Breakfast reveals Adam Thomas as latest Strictly contestant

Hits Radio Breakfast Show host Fleur East revealed on air this morning that Adam Thomas is the eighth contestant to join Strictly Come Dancing this year.

Actor Adam is best-known for his roles on Waterloo Road and Emmerdale, and for appearing on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2016. He joined the Breakfast Team to celebrate the announcement and discuss his lack of dancing ability.

Speaking to the team, Adam revealed: “No, I can’t dance to save my life! I don’t know what I’ve got myself into! Everyone says that I can dance, but the only time that they’ve ever seen me dance is when I’m drunk, and sober dancing and drunk dancing are completely two different things!”

They also spoke about Adam’s favourite dance moves – where he talked up his “Robot” – the professional he’d most like to be partnered with, the dance he’s most looking forward to (Ballroom) and how his dance teacher wife is helping him to prepare!

He says that he’s been a big fan of the show for years and can’t believe he’s actually doing it, but can’t wait to get on the dancefloor.
