What won’t Melissa McCarthy eat after filming The Little Mermaid?

Melissa McCarthy joined the Heart Evening Show with Dev Griffin last night.

The actress admitted her role in The Little Mermaid was “big shoes” to follow and revealed what she won’t eat in public after filming the movie.

Answering Dev’s question what it was like taking on one of the most iconic roles and songs in Disney, Melissa said: “Lock myself in a room.. try to steady my nerves.

“I’m not a very nervous person, I can really get lost in the process. But this one… their big shoes, and I found myself I was like, “oh, I am actively nervous”.

“I think this is the most that I had to really kind of work on that and to just drop it. I’m like I have a job to do, and I want to do it proud. So I’ve got to get over myself and stop being nervous.”

Dev also jokingly asked if she’s able to enjoy seafood now she’s been in the film?

Melissa responded that it was a good question and added: “It’s going to be hard to have octopus. In between the documentary and playing Ursula, it’s going to be tricky.

“Also, I don’t want to get caught. Can you imagine if I was out eating an octopus. That’s a picture that would haunt me till my dying day!”
