Chris Pratt and Charlie Day drop in on Magic Radio Breakfast
Hollywood actors Chris Pratt and Charlie Day dropped by to talk to Tom Price on Magic Radio Breakfast about their new film.
The Super Mario Bros, Movie is in cinemas now, and Chris talked about the pressure the actors felt when creating the voices for such well-loved characters.
“There is pressure. These are really iconic characters. Probably the most famous video games characters in the world. And there are so many iterations of the game, stretching all the way back to when I was a kid in the mid to late 80s when it first came out,” said Chris
“Every generation has had some form of Mario so it’s a big part of the tapestry that makes up our youth. So people are pretty passionate about it and the fan base does not want it to be screwed up, I am one of those people and I was grateful to be part of the collaborative process that would ultimately make this movie. And I am proud to say we didn’t screw it up, the movie is great,” he added.
While talking to Tom, Chris also touched on the recent success of Parks and Recreation co-star Aubrey Plaza, revealing that very few people actually get to know the real her.
“She is having a serious moment right now and she deserves every bit of it. She is so talented, she is so strange, in a very real way,” he said.
“The real Aubrey Plaza, very few people get to know the real Aubrey Plaza because she is kind of like a performance artist. Like she will come in if she is doing press or if you’re meeting her through a talk show or a radio show, you’re going to get this sort of Andy Kaufman version of her where she is almost just enjoying messing with you and it even feels sometimes in a friendship and you’re wondering like, is this real.
“Her entire life has been leading up to this moment if you like go through and look at some of the stuff she has done and some of the interviews she has done, its genius. She is a genius,” Chris said.
