Boom Radio goes national across the UK on DAB
Boom Radio, the station for Baby Boomers is to go national across the UK on DAB from tomorrow after just a few weeks of being on air.
Just before the start of his show today, David Hamilton made the announcement, saying that the station has been blown away by the enthusiasm listeners have shown for the station and the music it plays.
Because feedback has been so good, plans have been brought forward to make the station available across the UK on DAB from Friday. Currently, Boom Radio can only be heard on DAB in certain areas of the UK.
The station’s bosses say: “It’s no small feat. We’re not a big company – just a few old mates with a dream and you’re never too old to dream.
“You have listened – and so have we. From tomorrow you can hear us on DAB across the UK and, of course, still listen online.”
If you are already able to hear the station on DAB, you may need to retune your radio tomorrow to continue listening.
