Toby Tarrant takes over mornings at Radio X
Toby Tarrant is to replace Jack Saunders as presenter of the morning 10am till 1pm show on Radio X.
Jack hosted his last show on Friday morning and tweeted a note saying it was a hard decision to leave the station after working there for the last four years.
Jack said: “Having started there as a programming intern and have ended presenting weekday mid-mornings, it certainly wasn’t an easy decision to make but I will always cherish my time there. Thank you Radio X and Global for believing in me and giving me my break.”
Toby currently hosts the early breakfast show and says he won’t miss the 2.30am alarm: “Buzzing to announce that next week I will be the new mid-morning host on Radio X – it hasn’t really sunk in yet to be honest!
Matt Deverson, managing editor of Radio X told RadioToday: “Jack Saunders has made the decision to move on from Radio X. I’m delighted that Toby Tarrant will be taking over mid-mornings on Radio X from Monday. We’ll announce the new host of early breakfast soon.”
BUZZING to announce that next week I will be the new mid-mornings host on @RadioX – hasn't really sunk in yet to be honest!
So proud of what we achieved on the early breakfast show although I won't miss setting an alarm for 2:30am!

At the same time, gutted to say goodbye to THE sexiest man in Radio…
Jack is one of radio's good guys (which are rarer than you'd think). He's off to pursue some very exciting and deserved opportunities and also left me with annoyingly good listening figures to compete with! https://t.co/2tog7Ny5PJ
