Ronan Keating reveals Boyzone reunion plans on BBC Radio 2

Speaking on BBC Radio 2, Ronan Keating has confirmed that Boyzone are considering a major reunion in 2026.
He told listeners to the Breakfast Show this morning that conversations about bringing the group back together are already underway.
In conversation with Scott Mills ahead of his performance at Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford tomorrow, Keating explained that the reaction to the recent Boyzone documentary had been overwhelming and had sparked new discussions among the band.
“After the documentary, the reaction was crazy, it was unbelievable,” he said. “Honestly, even people who weren’t fans of Boyzone were contacting me saying I had no idea.… there was a lot to unbox.
“We’ve obviously been talking about our story for the last 30 years and we thought that was kind of it. Maybe that was the end of the story.
“We’ve all been chatting over the last few weeks and 2026 might be the year for Boyzone to try and do something. Scott Mills, 2026 will be a great year for Boyzone.”
Keating added that he had even been caught rewatching the documentary on his flight into London. “A fellow passenger clocked me watching it,” he laughed, admitting it was a surreal moment to sit with his own history while being recognised mid-flight.
Boyzone, formed in Dublin in 1993, became one of the most successful boy bands of the 1990s, scoring six UK number one singles and selling millions of records worldwide.
Although they have reunited for tours in the past, this latest announcement suggests that fans could see new performances or projects in 2026, more than three decades after their debut.
The band’s potential comeback would follow on from the continued wave of 90s pop nostalgia, with audiences keen to revisit the groups and music that defined the era.
For now, Keating remains focused on his solo work, including his live performance at Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford, but fans are already marking 2026 as a year to watch.
