BBC Radio 6 Music’s T-Shirt Day is back for 2021

It’s time to dig out your favourite T-shirt and set the date in your diary as BBC Radio 6 Music’s #TShirtDay returns on 19 November.

The special annual event is all about putting on your most treasured band tee – whether old or new – and wearing your love for your favourite band or artist on your chest!

Presenters across the day from Chris Hawkins (5am-7.30am) to Steve Lamacq (4pm-7pm) will be taking requests, playing music exclusively from artists who appear on listeners’ tees.

Listeners can get involved too by sending in requests by sharing a picture of themselves wearing their band or artist T-shirt on social media, using the hashtag #TShirtDay.

Famous names who have taken part in previous years, showing their love for their favourite artists, include Jodie Whittaker, Kate Moss, Helena Christensen, Fearne Cotton, Chrissie Hynde, Noel Fielding and Lizzo.

6 Music’s T-shirt day began in a West End pub in 2008 and since then has grown into a much larger and annual event.
