Actor and singer Luke Evans has sent Owain Wyn Evans a special good luck message ahead of his BBC Children in Need fundraising challenge.
The actor recorded a message for Owain on his BBC Radio 2 early breakfast show this morning, sharing his support for the five day cycling challenge and choosing a Foo Fighters track to help keep him motivated.
Starting in Glasgow on Monday 9 November, Owain will cycle nearly 400 miles over five days, travelling through Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales before reaching the finish line in central Cardiff on Friday 13 November.
Luke also revealed that his chosen track for Owain’s training playlist is Everlong by the Foo Fighters, explaining why the song helps him get ready for a workout.
He said: “So, I heard about the fantastic Children in Need challenge you are going to be taking on this November, travelling through four nations, cycling four hundred miles in just five days. That’s incredible!
“And, you’re looking for songs with a great BPM and drums to motivate you with your training. So, I had a think, and I actually love this song I’ve picked. It gets me definitely, blood-pumping, running to the gym.”
Luke then revealed his musical choice for Owain’s Airdrum anthem, adding: “So, Owain, my Airdrum anthem is ‘Everlong’ by the Foo Fighters. Good luck cariad, huge thanks!”
The message gives Owain a musical boost as he prepares for the demanding journey, which will see him cover hundreds of miles in support of BBC Children in Need.
With a five-day ride taking him across all four nations of the UK, Owain will be relying on determination, training and a playlist packed with motivating tracks to help him reach Cardiff.
