Clinton Baptiste predicts World Cup drama on Chris Moyles show
Comic psychic Clinton Baptiste joined Chris Moyles on his Radio X Breakfast Show this morning and delivered bold World Cup predictions.
During the conversation, Baptiste turned his attention to the men’s World Cup, which takes place this year across the United States, Canada and Mexico, confidently predicting a dramatic knockout clash between England and Scotland later in the tournament.
Speaking in character, Baptiste told Moyles that England would not only meet their UK rivals on the global stage, but would comfortably overcome them, joking about the scale of the potential victory as he leaned into his trademark bravado.
He said he was “trying to think of how much money to put on”, before suggesting an emphatic scoreline that immediately prompted laughter from Moyles and co-host Dominic Byrne.
Baptiste also offered a second prediction that took a sharp turn away from footballing logic, forecasting that the United States would “smash” Denmark during the summer, while stressing the outcome would have “nothing to do with the football”.
The football conversation started when Baptiste mentioned that the World Cup was taking place this year, prompting Moyles to invite him to use his “powers” to look ahead at what might unfold once the tournament gets underway.
Explaining his vision, Baptiste referenced the tournament’s North American setting, joking that the United States would soon simply be known as “America”, before revealing his England versus Scotland scenario.
A friend of The Chris Moyles Show, Baptiste is known for his predictions and theatrical delivery.
