Shona McGarty laughs off Aitch romance rumours on Hits Radio
Shona McGarty has been setting the record straight after her time in the I’m a Celebrity jungle.
The EastEnders star appeared on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show this morning, joining Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr to chat about her jungle experience and address speculation about a possible romance with fellow campmate Aitch.
Rumours began circulating shortly after Shona left the camp, with online chatter suggesting the pair had struck up more than just a friendship during their time in Australia.
However, speaking on air today, Shona was quick to dismiss the claims and explain the reality behind their close bond.
Before even being asked directly about the rumours, Shona joked that she had been surprised by what she saw when she got her phone back.
“I came out and apparently me and Aitch were in a relationship,” she said, laughing.
She went on to describe their dynamic in the camp as playful and energetic rather than romantic.
“He’s great, still my little brother! He’s so fun to be around, he’s just hyper and he matched my level of hyper,” she told the Breakfast Show team.
For her and Aitch, that connection was built on shared humour, high energy and getting through the challenges together, rather than anything romantic.
She also revealed that their friendship has continued since leaving the jungle, though it remains firmly platonic.
“He hasn’t been round for karaoke yet but it’s on the cards,” she added, hinting that fans might still see the pair hanging out socially away from the cameras.
