Keira Knightley says she’s only seen Love Actually once
Keira Knightley joined Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show this morning, where she revealed she’s only ever watched Love Actually once – at its premiere more than twenty years ago.
The actor said she rarely watches any of her films and often forgets what happens to her characters.
Speaking to Scott, Keira admitted she finds it “very strange” watching herself on screen. “It’s not a particularly lovely experience watching your own face back at you,” she said. “I either haven’t watched them, or I’ve only watched them once.”
She added that fans often know her films better than she does, saying she finds it funny when people talk about them in great detail.
Scott asked whether she had seen the Pirates of the Caribbean films. “I’ve never seen the third one,” Keira said. “I saw the second one at the premiere but there’s just too much face. Really close-up large face. Nobody needs to see that.”
Keira also told Scott she’s a big fan of him and his husband after watching Race Across the World. “We loved it so much,” she said. “My kids would be starstruck if they met you – you might be the one I’d get kudos for.”
And like many viewers, Keira is completely hooked on The Traitors. She called Celia Imrie’s moment on the show “the best on British television” and said she’s cancelling all her plans, including filming, to watch Thursday’s final. “I’m not filming anymore,” she joked. “I’m cancelling everything.”
