Harry Redknapp leaves Fix Radio hosts laughing with DIY confession

Harry Redknapp had the studio in stitches when he recently joined Fix Radio’s breakfast show, The Bald Builders with Brad and Sam.

The former football manager admitted he’s hopeless when it comes to DIY, declaring: “I can’t change a plug!”

He added: “When it comes to the build, I’m useless. I let the experts get on with it. It’s like football training — you wouldn’t have someone who’s never been to a match telling you how to run it.”

Ever the straight talker, he even joked that he’s “the one holding the ladder for Sandra” while she gets the real work done.

Harry revealed that he and Sandra recently bought a cleared plot for a new home and handed the reins to their builder, Chris.

“You get a good builder, you trust them, and you keep things moving. Let people who know what they’re doing do it,” he said, adding that the project is being kept slick and sustainable with no cutting corners.

There were also a few trademark Bald Builders moments from presenter Alex pitching a cheeky invention to cover builders’ bums (“a crack in the market”) to the team’s ongoing hunt for the mysterious biscuit bandit. One joke was apparently too spicy for broadcast.

When talk turned to football, Harry praised England’s current squad as “on a different level.” And when asked about another stint in I’m A Celebrity…, he offered a knowing grin and a hint that the jungle might just be calling again!
