Zara Larsson tells Capital Tate McRae tour left her inspired to train

Zara Larsson has opened up about touring with Tate McRae, saying the experience left her “inspired” to hit the gym and get back into the dance studio.
Speaking on The Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill, Zara described being on the road with the Canadian singer as “so amazing” and said she was “sad” when the tour ended. She added that performing alongside Tate pushed her to work even harder.
“I felt like I needed to go to the gym and go into the dance studio,” Zara said. “Seeing her perform every night was so inspiring. It was just the perfect combination – me and her, I feel like the match was made in heaven.”
She went on to praise Tate’s fans for being so supportive, saying the arenas were “eighty to ninety per cent full” before her set even started.
Zara also said she had never experienced that kind of energy as an opening act before, even after touring with stars like Ed Sheeran and Kygo.
The Swedish pop star also revealed a behind-the-scenes detail from her new song Hot & Sexy, which samples Tiffany Pollard’s famous line from Celebrity Big Brother. Rather than using the original TV audio, Zara’s team invited Tiffany to the studio to record a fresh version.
“She was just the sweetest and so amazing,” Zara said. “We wanted that clip really bad, so she came in and did a version of herself.”
