Taylor Swift invites Greg James to her wedding during Radio 1 chat
Taylor Swift has invited Greg James to her wedding with Travis Kelce during a surprise moment on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast.
The superstar joined Greg on air to celebrate the release of her new album The Life of a Showgirl and ended up giving listeners an unforgettable live reveal.
The pair reflected on their long friendship, with Taylor recalling Greg’s now-famous “shower” joke from Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2018.
When Greg teased that he wanted to play catch with Kelce, Taylor replied that he would definitely get his chance at the wedding, confirming James was “obviously” on the guest list.
Taylor also revealed that Kelce was the first to hear the new record after she returned from Sweden. “He’s so supportive of all of it, but he’s a real vibes guy,” she explained, adding that her fiancé has been described as “an exclamation mark” for his boundless enthusiasm.
Discussing her new album, Taylor said she feels nothing but joy about its release. “With this album, my life is in exactly the same spot as when I wrote the record,” she said, describing it as both playful and sharp, with elements inspired by characters such as Elizabeth Taylor.
She also addressed her decision to announce the album in an unexpected way, dropping the news ninety minutes into her fiancé’s New Heights football podcast. “I love the polarity of the masculine feminine there,” she laughed, calling it her most surprising reveal yet.
