Sam Thompson turns to listeners for dating app profile advice

Sam Thompson is holding the fort on Hits Radio Breakfast this week as regular hosts Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr are on holiday.

While on air yesterday, he revealed that he has recently joined Hinge and asked listeners for help completing his profile.

Sam admitted he has already chosen his photos and videos but is struggling with the written prompts that form part of the dating app’s set-up.

He told listeners: “I’m on Hinge everybody. I have decided to give dating apps a go, because the dating world is the trenches out there and I need a bit of help.”

One of the tricky prompts was ‘I’d fall for you if…’. Sam joked: “I just don’t know what I think. To be honest with you, I’d fall for you if you say you like me. If you turn round and say ‘I like you’, I’m done, that’s all it takes with me.”

Another question on the app asked him for his ‘cry in the car’ song, to which he replied that it would be “anything by One Direction really”. Listeners were invited to send in suggestions for how Sam could fill out the rest of his profile in a way that might catch the right kind of attention.
