Kelly Brook recalls Smallville kisses with Michael Rosenbaum reunion

Kelly Brook and Michael Rosenbaum have reminisced about starring together in Smallville twenty-four years ago.

The reunion happened last night when Michael was a guest on Heart Drive with JK and Kelly Brook.

Kelly, who played Victoria Hardwick in the Superman franchise series, joked that she had to ask Michael to call her by her character’s name during kissing rehearsals so she wouldn’t feel guilty about her relationship at the time.

“We had rehearsals, we had a lot of kissing scenes in Smallville,” Kelly said. When JK asked how that went, she replied: “Well I quite enjoyed it, but I remember I did have a boyfriend. I said we could only practice and kiss each other off camera if you call me Victoria, because that way I’m in character so I’m not technically cheating. So we did have a couple of off-camera snogs but in the name of rehearsals obviously.”

Michael responded with amusement, saying he also enjoyed the moments. “My friends were like, ‘why aren’t you dating her?’ She’s larger than life, she’s this English girl, she parties, she does all these things. I just couldn’t keep up with her, but I certainly enjoyed locking lips,” he said.

The pair also spoke about the physical demands of playing characters in the Superman universe. JK brought up Nicholas Hoult’s bald look in the latest Superman film, asking Michael about the tradition of Lex Luthor actors shaving their heads.

Michael answered: “Yes, I shaved my head for seven years, and there’s nothing that pisses me off more than when someone goes ‘you didn’t shave your head, you had a bald cap!’ Like, I shaved my head every day for seven years on that show. And Nicholas did shave his head, and I talked to him the other night and was like, ‘yeah but you only shaved your head for a couple of months’, and he was like ‘yeah’.”
