Alex Warren performs Ordinary and Rich Girl in Radio 1 Live Lounge

Breakout Californian singer-songwriter Alex Warren performed his chart-topping single ‘Ordinary’ in BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge ahead of his upcoming album release.

Alex joined Rickie, Melvin, and Charlie for his performance yesterday, where he also covered Daryl Hall & John Oates’ classic track ‘Rich Girl’ in the iconic Radio 1 slot.

Speaking to the trio, Alex revealed he once slid into Lewis Capaldi’s DMs by sending him a photo while he was on the toilet and shared how Ed Sheeran brought him on stage at Coachella.

Alex also told Radio 1 that Chris Martin thought he was British when they met and added that he would love to work with Billie Eilish in the future.

He said his favourite Live Lounge performance is Harry Styles’ cover of Lizzo’s ‘Juice’, and joked with Charlie about whether his wife brings up the fact that ‘Ordinary’ is written about her during arguments.

‘Ordinary’ secured 13 weeks at Number 1 in the UK’s Official Charts, including 12 consecutive weeks at the top, marking it as Alex’s biggest single to date.

Alex also told Rickie, Melvin, and Charlie that he would love to appear in Modern Family, describing it as his dream sitcom role.
