BBC unveils extensive coverage plans for Glastonbury 2025

As Glastonbury’s exclusive broadcast partner, the BBC has revealed this year’s presenting team.

They are Anita Rani, Annie Macmanus, Arielle Free, Cerys Matthews, Clara Amfo, Craig Charles, Danni Diston, Danny Howard, Deb Grant, Dermot O’Leary, DJ Target, Gilles Peterson, Greg James, Huw Stephens, Jack Saunders, Jamz Supernova, Jo Whiley, Lauren Laverne, Matt Everitt, Nathan Shepherd, Nick Grimshaw, Sam MacGregor, Sarah Story, Steve Lamacq and Zoe Ball.

The two-month celebration of the festival this June and July will air across TV, BBC iPlayer, radio and BBC Sounds.

BBC Radio is gearing up for another massive year at Glastonbury, with wall-to-wall coverage across its stations.

6 Music will once again be the radio home of Glastonbury, launching All Day Glastonbury from Wednesday 25 to Monday 30 June. The schedule will be entirely dedicated to artists who have played or are playing the festival, with 58 hours of live programming and more shows from Worthy Farm than ever before.

The week kicks off with Nick Grimshaw broadcasting live from the gates as the festival opens, joined by organiser Emily Eavis.

He’s followed across the week by Lauren Laverne, Craig Charles, Jamz Supernova, Steve Lamacq and more. BBC Sounds’ Sidetracked podcast, hosted by Annie Macmanus and Grimshaw, will also air special Glastonbury editions on Friday and Sunday evening.

Radio 1 joins the party from Thursday 26 June, with Jack Saunders’ New Music Show and a live BBC Introducing Stage takeover simulcast with Radio 1 Dance.

Greg James brings the Radio 1 Breakfast Show live from the festival for the first time on Friday morning, with further DJ sets and coverage across the weekend on Radio 1, 1Xtra, and Radio 1 Dance.

Radio 2 contributes with live programmes from Dermot O’Leary and Zoe Ball on Saturday 28 June, and a Legends slot interview with Rod Stewart.

Jo Whiley leads Glastonbury programming on Radio 2 across the weekend and returns on Monday night to reflect on the event.

Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour also returns to Worthy Farm on Friday 27 June, with Anita Rani hosting a special edition celebrating women in the music industry.
