Paul Weller is next artist to perform for BBC Radio 2 Piano Room
Radio 2’s Piano Room continues its autumn run with Paul Weller set to perform with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Weller is the latest artist to play at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios for a session to be aired during Vernon Kays weekday morning show on Radio 2.
Known as The Modfather and one of the most revered songwriters and performers of the past five decades, Paul will be performing one of his previous hits, a new single and a classic cover, with his performance also available to hear on BBC Sounds and watch on BBC iPlayer.
From starting out as frontman of bands The Jam and The Style Council, Paul kickstarted a successful solo career in the early 90s and is now hailed as one of the most influential and inventive figures in modern British music.
He’s released 28 albums to date, and his 17th solo album, 66, was released this Spring.
You can hear Paul Weller accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra from the Radio 2 Piano Room in Vernon’s 9.30am – 12.00pm show on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday 7 November.
