Zoe Ball takes time off from Radio 2 Breakfast as Scott Mills sits in

In what appear to be last minute schedule changes at BBC Radio 2 Scott Mills is covering the Breakfast Show for Zoe Ball.

Zoe didn’t present her show on Friday with listeners expecting to hear her to interviewing Will Young but Gaby Roslin was sitting in.

On Monday morning, listeners were greeted by Scott Mills who began by saying: “Good morning. You weren’t expecting me were you? Welcome to Monday, it’s Scott Mills.”

He also confirmed that he’s filling for Zoe for the next few weeks and added: “I’m sending you all my love Zo’, as are the team.”

Zoe had recently returned to the show after taking time off to care for her mother.

A BBC spokesperson said: “Zoe is taking time off and will return in September”.
