BBC Radio 1Xtra is releasing tickets for the official Commonwealth Games closing party as it announces a musical line-up featuring some of Birmingham’s best homegrown talent.
The 1Xtra x Introducing Birmingham Showcase will take place at The Mill on Sunday 7 August as part of the Birmingham 2022 Festival.
Local artists confirmed to perform on the night are Jaykae (Headliner), Miss LaFamilia, Dapz on the Map, Yatez, Nineteen97 and DJ Silk.
BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Target and Remi Burgz will host the event alongside other presenters from the station for a night of live performances and exclusive DJ sets to close out this year’s Commonwealth Games.
Tickets go on sale tonight at 7pm Eventim.
BBC Radio 1Xtra will also broadcast live from Birmingham throughout the Games with eight special shows scheduled to air from the Mailbox:
- Thursday 28th July – Remi Burgz
- Friday 29th July – Kenny Allstar
- Saturday 30th July – Lady Leshurr
- Sunday 31st July – DJ Ace
Birmingham’s Lady Leshurr, who has been one of the official faces for this year’s Commonwealth Games, will broadcast 1Xtra’s drive-time show live from Birmingham throughout the following week (Monday – Thursday 4-7pm), and will host some special guest Athletes competing in this year’s Games.
