Laura Whitmore to host weekly show on 5 live
TV presenter and broadcaster Laura Whitmore is to host her first ever radio show, with a live one hour Sunday morning slot on BBC Radio 5 live this summer.
In Laura Whitmore’s Sunday Session she will cover the news, views, music and entertainment that has caught her eye that week, and she will catch up with a range of guests – from musicians to journalists and from comedians to cultural and social influencers.
Plus there will be a regular ‘Sunday Roast’ slot where she gets to interview an iconic figure.
Laura told RadioToday: “I’m delighted to be joining the BBC Radio 5 live family. It’s going to be a lot of fun and full of debate and discussion over a wide range of topics. I can’t wait to get stuck in!”
Laura has a degree in Journalism and began her career in media as a researcher on Newstalk in Ireland. Since then she has worked for MTV and hosted ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! for five years.
She is also a trained actor and last year toured the country with a stage adaptation of Peter James bestseller Not Dead Enough. Earlier this year Laura presented ITV2’s Survival Of The Fittest.
